These grievances involve the disposition of an Equal Employment Opportunity case which the union alleges was settled in a manner contrary to the provisions of the National Agreement. During our discussion, we mutually agreed:
Equal Employment Opportunity settlements may not take precedence over the contractual provisions of the National Agreement. Accordingly, the parties at the regional level should review the specific fact circumstances involved in these cases to ensure the employee was properly placed in the installation consistent with the terms of the National Agreement.
