This Step 4 Settlement Agreement addresses whether management improperly charged letter carriers to replace their lost badges. During the discussion, it was mutually agreed that in accordance with ASM 273.272, management was proper in charging an employee for a lost badge. Management must, however, inform an employee of a money demand under Article 28 of the National Agreement, and the demand must include the reasons for the charges.
