The issue in this grievance is whether management properly changed the assignment of the grievant who was reemployed under the Rehabilitation Program. The facts in this case indicate that on May 17, 1982, the grievant was reemployed under the Rehabilitation Program. The grievant accepted a position as a distribution clerk in the Express Mail anit. On May 28, 1983, the grievant's assignment was changed based-on the fact that work was no longer available for the grievant in the Express Mail Unit. The union contends that management may not arbitrarily reassign an employee that was previously reemployed under the Rehabilitation Program to a specific position. It is the position of the Postal Service that the change in the assignment was necessitated by the fact that work for the grievant was no longer available in the Express Mail Unit. Therefore, the grievant was assigned to duties in the non preferential mail unit within her medical limitations.
