APWU Youth Make Unionism 'A Family Affair'

The APWU Women's Organizing Committee has announced the winners of the union's "Make it a Family Affair" creativity contest, reports APWU Regional Coordinator Liz Powell, the panel's chairwoman.

The contest — designed to promote among our youth a better understanding of the vital role unions and the APWU play in our lives — invited the children or grandchildren of APWU members across the country to submit an original work expressing this theme in song, poem, short video, or PowerPoint presentation. 

The contest's Grand Prize, a laptop computer with accessories, was claimed by Amanda Scroth, daughter of Greater Connecticut Area Local member Debra Desracher, for her song, Together We Stand
