Orlando Selected as Site of 2016 National Convention
September 15, 2014
The National Executive Board selected Orlando, FL, as the site of the 2016 National Convention, Secretary-Treasurer Liz Powell has announced. The board vote took place on Sept. 10.
"We heard presentations from hotels in several cities," Powell said. "One of our goals was to select a site that would help keep expenses down for locals, state organizations and the national union. Orlando will help us do that."
"It's been many years since we held a convention in the South," noted President Mark Dimondstein, "so I'm pleased we will return to Florida."
