Support Veterans: Vote for Aleethia Foundation on June 15
June 15, 2011
APWU members with Facebook accounts are encouraged to support wounded troops by voting for the Aleethia Foundation to be a winner of Toyota’s “100 Cars for Good” contest.
To participate, simply log into Facebook, and go to www.facebook.com/toyota. You will be directed to the “100 Cars for Good” contest page, where you can click “Vote Now” to cast your vote for the Aleethia Foundation.
The Aleethia Foundation, an organization that provides financial aid and sponsors events for wounded veterans and their families in the Washington, DC, area, has been selected as a finalist in the contest, which will award 100 vehicles over the course of 100 days to winning organizations. This will give the foundation the opportunity to provide further assistance to newly wounded, injured, and ill service members.
“I ask all APWU members, family, and friends to take a moment of their time on Wednesday, June 15 to cast their vote for this worthy cause,” said APWU Human Relations Director Sue Carney. “The Aleethia Foundation is a great organization that needs all the help it can get – including from a large corporation like Toyota,” she said.
