The issue in this grievance concerns examination requirements for clerk typist and Markup clerk automated positions. During the discussion, it was mutually agreed that examination requirements will be prospectively revised so that examinations for clerk-typist (tests 710 and 712) and for clerk-stenographer positions (tests 710, 711, and 712) may be administered separately to inservice applicants (current career employees) to determine qualification for these positions and other positions requiring these examinations. Specific instructions as well as applicable implementation dates will be published in a future Postal Bulletin. Accordingly, we agreed to close this case.
