2024 Annual Leave Exchange and Carryover MOU

As with previous years, the Postal Service has agreed to increase the maximum number of hours career employees may carry over into the next leave year. Career employees may also “exchange” (sell back) additional annual leave.
For Leave Year 2024, the maximum number of hours that can be carried over will be 520 hours. Employees may also exchange up to 80 hours of annual leave if they meet the criteria outlined in the MOU.
The leave year begins on the “first day of the first full pay period of the calendar”. So for 2024, the Leave Year will begin on January 13, 2024.
